ok, so after reading the paper i found out why that guy was being hunted down by the police. it turns out he had run over a woman and her 12 year old son (it was witnessed by a group of kids about to cross the street) and then just sped off; the pair had just arrived at a birthday party they were late for, when this guy killed them before they even made it to the house.
it's scary to think that this sort of thing can happen anywhere and at anytime. you could be going out to get the mail and then meet your end, right then and there. so sad, and so scary.
